About Course

This course provides engineers and technical professionals with a foundational understanding of flow assurance principles and transient multiphase flow modeling using OLGA, the industry-leading dynamic simulation software. Participants will learn how to analyze and predict flow behavior in pipelines and production systems, address common operational challenges, and interpret simulation results for improved production reliability and system design.

  • Understand the key role of flow assurance in maintaining safe and continuous multiphase flow in production systems.
  • Identify and analyze common flow assurance challenges such as slugging, hydrate formation, wax deposition, and liquid accumulation.
  • Gain a clear understanding of OLGA software and how it models dynamic multiphase flow behavior in pipelines and wells.
  • Distinguish between steady-state and transient simulations and recognize when each approach is applicable.
  • Navigate the OLGA Graphical User Interface (GUI) and follow the standard workflow for model creation and execution.
  • Build, configure, and run basic transient simulation models to study dynamic flow behavior under changing operational conditions.
