About Course

This technical session provides a practical overview of reservoir engineering workflows for tight, depleted carbonate reservoirs, linking key fundamentals with real field application.

The course briefly reviews carbonate-specific reservoir behavior, including low permeability, complex pore systems, and depletion effects, before focusing on data-driven workflows using pressure, production, and surveillance data. Participants will gain insight into material balance, dynamic modeling considerations, and uncertainty managementin mature assets.

The session concludes with field-oriented decision-making, covering development planning, infill and recompletion screening, and integration with production optimization strategies, supported by practical lessons learned.

Designed for reservoir and production engineers, this course emphasizes clear, applicable workflows rather than theory.

The session demonstrated a strong balance between academic rigor and practical field expertise. The presenter effectively connected fundamental reservoir engineering principles with real-field development challenges through a well-structured case study. The practical example provided clear insight into technical complexities, operational constraints, and strategic decision-making considerations associated with tight carbonate reservoirs.

The depth of analysis, clarity of methodology, and logical progression from problem definition to development strategy reflected substantial industry experience. Additionally, his role was evident in the structured delivery, clarity of explanation, and ability to communicate advanced technical concepts in a precise and accessible manner without compromising scientific depth.

Overall, the webinar delivered significant technical value and provided a comprehensive perspective on integrated reservoir management, combining engineering fundamentals with real-world execution strategy.

Thank You
Kindly could you check which correct answer in the first question of Pre quiz in the system?

The instructor answer about acid stimulation and frac in the carbonate reservoirs seems to require more illustration. It could be understood as acid fractured or hydraulic fracture is worst than acid stimulation in all cases.

Is Nano EOR after WF should consider the saturation change by WF. Some oil could be trapped. Some grains could be covered and be prevented from reaction with nano materials

At the end, Many thanks for the instructor. I did not be able to attend live. I hear record
