Biography
Reservoir Engineering Specialist & Instructor
Mr. Brahim Medjani graduated with Bachelor of Science in 1990 from the petroleum institute of Boumerdes, Algeria and got his Master’s degree of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1999, worked as a specialist reservoir engineer and as an instructor in petroleum engineering.
Brahim national and international experience working with subsurface teams allowed him to get more knowledge in many disciplines such as geoscience; petroleum engineering and surface facilities allow him to add more value.
Brahim has over twenty-five years’ experience in a variety of engineering and management positions at SONATRACH Company, CNPCi and ALNAFT in Algeria, ADNOC onshore in UAE, PETRONAS in Malaysia, PDO in Oman and AGOCO in Libya. He gained extensive experience in reservoir engineering activities, reservoir-monitoring, dynamic simulation and field development plans from many projects that he conducted for oil and gas reservoirs, carbonates and sandstones in both onshore and offshore.
Brahim followed many technical workshops and studies on reservoir engineering (naturel depletion, water injection, gas injection, enhanced oil recovery); reservoir characterization (routine and special core analysis, PVT analysis and equation of state generation, vertical flow performance curves, decline curve analysis, material balance and reserves calculation), production enhancement (well productivity, gas lift optimisation, stimulation techniques analysis).
Brahim has capabilities in maximizing recovery through various detailed analysis of well/reservoir data of fluid production rates, pressure and all other parameters affecting the flow in porous media, his experience in dynamic simulation through history matching and development strategies to elaborate best cases for field development plan and business plan best approach.
